A driver has admitted to inflicting the deaths of a ‘beautiful couple’ after he drove right into a wall.
Meesha Afzal, 22, and Kyle Khan, 26, died after Eidnun Liaquat, 28, crashed his Mercedes A200 on Warwick Street, Solihull, in December 2020.
The married couple, who had been each sporting seatbelts, had been pronounced useless on the scene.
Put up-mortem examinations discovered Meesha, a carer, died from head and neck accidents, whereas Kyle, a courier driver, died from a head harm.
Kyle’s mum Roshni Sajida Yousaf stated the ‘beautiful couple’ – who married in July 2017 – had been the ‘Romeo and Juliet of this century’.
She stated: ‘Kyle and Meesha were my life. It breaks my heart that I’ve misplaced two kids as she (Meesha) was my daughter too.’
‘They would be looking down at me from heaven smiling to say “do not mourn us – we’re completely happy collectively in demise too”.
‘My fallen angels Kyle and Meesha were soulmates. Gone, but never will be forgotten, forever in our thoughts, prayers and hearts.’
Liaquat, of Mountofrd Road, Sparkhill, had beforehand denied two costs of inflicting demise by harmful driving.
Nevertheless showing at Birmingham Crown Courtroom, he pleaded responsible to 2 various costs which had been accepted by the prosecution.
Liaquat was instructed by the decide that he had admitted ‘very serious charges’.
He has been launched on bail forward of sentencing on April 21.
