Man’s anger after JustEat spilled McDonald’s on his carpet then walked off

A person says his carpet was ‘ruined’ after a Simply Eat order from McDonald’s was spilled throughout his corridor.

Tony Watson, from Grimsby, had ordered a McDonald’s breakfast on the meals supply app.

However after opening the door to the motive force, the bag ripped, spilling his drinks on his carpet, partitions and entrance door.

He claims after watching the chaos, the motive force mentioned ‘not my fault’ and walked off with a tip Tony had already given him.

He mentioned: ‘I decided to order a McDonald’s breakfast and was monitoring the automobile on the map. When it turned up, he hit the kerb exterior our home earlier than coming to the door.

‘As he took the order out his bag, the McDonald’s bag ripped, spilling our drinks throughout my door, up the partitions and on the carpet within the hallway.

‘It went everywhere. I told him I wasn’t completely satisfied about it, however he simply instructed me it wasn’t his fault and walked off with the tip I’d given him.’

Tony tried to get in contact with Simply Eat, however struggled to make contact.

He mentioned: ‘At first, I got a response saying I needed to use a different link, but that took me to a French website and I didn’t get a response what so ever.

‘I used to be irritated by the entire thing, particularly with how little he mentioned.

‘The drinks went up the walls, all over the door and on the carpet, which we really can’t afford to interchange proper now, no one has cash for that sort of factor.’
