A serving police officer has been charged with false imprisonment and rape.
Christopher Henderson, 40, labored in Higher Manchester Police’s (GMP) Metropolis of Manchester district.
He was arrested on suspicion of rape on Tuesday and brought into custody for additional questioning.
Henderson has now been charged with false imprisonment and rape and continues to be suspended whereas investigations are carried out.
He’ll attend Manchester and Salford Magistrates court docket immediately.
